Ok. i finally have a good long stretch of free time so yesh. i'll be getting down to type this entry i always wanted to post & the new banner i had in mind. finally got it done and up up it goes in our blogskin. and that make our page our own trademark.
sorry babe.. these few days have been really busy for me you noe. in fact this month has been quite a crazy one for me at work due to the raya festival. so i can't sit down in a comfortable chair and relax. now that i can, why not post something nice ;)
i once chanced upon this story by someone. left something deep within in me so i thought maybe i'll share it with you. haha. hope you enjoy it.
it's about this old couple. a volunteer visited their house to help them clean up the place. you know dust here, sweep there. yeah that kind of stuff. so as the volunteer was packing up the house, she realised there all over the place, there were scraps of paper, graffiti and stuff of the word "SHMILY" scattered all over the place. puzzled, she confronted the couple, hoping to gain insight onto wad shmily really meant.
the old couple told her, shmily was a silly game they played. they would take turns to inscribe shmily in random places. taking turns to find the shmily and then reciprocating the favour. writing shmily somewhere and leaving it for his/her spouse to find it. the volunteer conceded that it was really a silly game, and never thought much about it.
a few months later, the wife passed away. the volunteer went down to offer the husband her condolences. she found him kneeling in front of his wife's grave, scraping at the dirt in front of her grave. looking carefully, she made out the words SHMILY. standing behind him, she finally understood the meaning of shmily.
in between sobs, the husband said See. How. Much. i. Love. You.
~
duckie, i guess it's a simple story. Really. but it sure does pack a punch. Shmily's more of a concept to me than anything else. i apply it (or try to) everyday in life.
be it with my family, friends or even my dearest. i guess life without love is kinda sad. so.. why deprive someone of it? comes free, not much implications and sure does make someone's day. haha.
just tot i'll share my philosophy with you. like that you understand me better wad. see how much i love you not? *grin *wraps arms around dear's waist*
Hmmm. woohooo dear! it's Friday already. haha. finally my patience has paid off. can't wait to see my lovely bride on Saturday night. mmmuacks.
And here's my... pretty.little.bighead.super.duper.arrogant.vain.vainglorious.vainity duckie's wedding album snapshot! Hehehehe.. <33
